Women’s economic empowerment is not a matter for government policy, the private sector, or social change alone. All have critical roles to play. This is why the International Trade Centre (ITC) has launched the SheTrades initiative, which seeks to connect three million women entrepreneurs to market by 2021.
At SheTrades, women entrepreneurs can get free access to online courses, participate in face-to-face workshops, watch live webinars on a range of topics and understand better their markets by using ITC's tools.
SheTrades offers an environment where women entrepreneurs can improve their skills and as a result their businesses.
SheTrades does more than allow you to talk about business. We help you do business. With our Tenders portal, buyers can post sourcing opportunities for women owned businesses. This promotes inclusion within regional and global supply chains.
The International Trade Centre (ITC) is working towards boosting trade opportunities for women entrepreneurs through an e-commerce pilot in collaboration with eBay. The SheTrades initiative was active in Nairobi this week establishing a global online presence for 50 Kenyan women-owned businesses.
SheTrades is here to provide you with more information and answer any questions you may have.
