SheTrades and the Women's Entrepreneurship Accelerator


ITC SheTrades and the Women’s Entrepreneurship Accelerator have teamed up to inspire, educate, and empower women entrepreneurs around the world. Powered by Mary Kay, the Accelerator will offer a guided entrepreneurship curriculum supplemented by on-the-ground training for women from developing countries interested in entrepreneurship and integrating into regional and global value chains.

The Women's Entrepreneurship Accelerator is a multi-stakeholder strategic partnership between five United Nations agencies: UN Women, International Labour Organization (ILO), International Trade Centre (ITC), UN Global Compact (UNGC), and the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP).


The Women’s Entrepreneurship Accelerator aims to help women entrepreneurs worldwide to:
✔️ Develop their entrepreneurship skills
✔️ Network with hundreds of women entrepreneurs alike and connect with buyers, investors, suppliers and business support organizations
✔️ Learn from a wide network of experts from around the world
About the Entrepreneurship Curriculum
The online curriculum on Entrepreneurship aims to teach participants the skills to design and set up businesses that have potential to be economically viable. Through 27 interactive modules covering seven key stages of business development, participants learn how to adopt an entrepreneurship culture, develop ideas through design thinking and lean start-up methodologies, prepare a business model canvas, design a pitch, identify sources of funding, find the right partners, arrange for mentorship, build a team, and set up their businesses.
